Hey, guys. It's Sara with americantrucks.com. And today, we have a review and install of the WeatherTech No-Drill Front and Rear Mud Flaps in Black, fitting your ''09 through '18 Ram 1500s. These are perfect for the Ram owner who wants to add some style and protection to their truck without breaking the bank. These mud flaps are laser measured to contour perfectly from your truck and are crafted from a thermoplastic resin with a sleek black finish. So as far as price goes, these come in at around $100 making them a nice budget-friendly way to add some style and protection to your truck. I'm giving this install a very easy one out of three wrenches. This does not require drilling or removing the tires in most models and can be done within 20 minutes. So with that said, let's jump right into our install. For this install, you will need a ratchet, a quarter-inch socket, a 7-millimeter socket and the included T20 and T30 Torx bits. All right. So we're gonna start our install at the front. We're on the passenger side of the truck, so make sure you're grabbing the proper side, they are side specific, it should say RH or LH on the back of the mud flap. Before it can install it, we do need to remove this plastic trim piece here. We're gonna start with the two 8-millimeter bolts on the inside. Grab your 8-millimeter socket and let's get these out. Now there is a small plastic pushpin on the bottom here, it's not there on our truck but if it is on your truck you do need to remove it from underneath here. All right, so now that your trim piece is removed, we can install our mud flap. Make sure this area is nice and clean before you get it installed, and they've also included some protective film if you'd like to install that over your paint before the mud flap. Line up your mud flap on the truck. And once you have it on there, you may see a little space up top. You may need one of these spacers depending on the model of your truck. They've included three different types of spacers and on our truck, the eighth-inch spacer works best, it's gonna go in the bottom section here, so get that lined up first. Now with the spacer, you can see the nice fitment right here to the front fender, that's what we're looking for. You may need to test out several sizes to get the one that is right for your truck. Grab your 8-millimeter socket and tighten these down. All right, at this point, we're moving onto the rear, grab your 8-millimeter socket and get the two bolts out in the wheel well. All right, so you do need to remove two additional plastic rivets on the bottom here, and WeatherTech has included a Torx bit to do this. Ours are missing so we can just remove this plastic piece now. All right, now we can install your mud flap. Again, you want to make sure this area is clean and you can use the protective film if you like. Make sure you're grabbing the right-hand mud flap and you have your spacer here if your truck requires one. If you're not sure if it does, I would just measure up the mud flap, see if it's sitting a little weird, and then you can always use a spacer just you get the perfect fitment to the back here. Go ahead and reinstall your bolts. Grab your 8-millimeter socket and tighten them down. All right, so that's gonna do it for the review and install of our WeatherTech No-Drill Front and Rear Mud Flaps. Remember for all things Ram, keep it at americantrucks.com.
