      Description

      LED TURN SIGNAL BULBS. The Diode Dynamics Red LED Bulbs; 3157 XP80 provide a modern, instant-on lighting solution specifically designed for rear turn signal use. Engineered as a direct replacement for OEM 3157 bulbs on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, these bulbs offer bright, omnidirectional LED output that enhances visibility while maintaining a clean red illumination suitable for the rear signal lens.

      Construction and Appearance. Featuring sixteen high-power 5W LEDs arranged to ensure full coverage, the bulbs include a durable metal heatsink for effective thermal management. An inductive constant-current drive circuit ensures consistent brightness and protects against voltage spikes from alternator operation.

      Installation. The bulbs install easily with a plug-and-play OEM-sized connector compatible with factory sockets. No modifications or drilling are needed, enabling a quick upgrade typically completed within 5 to 10 minutes using common tools such as a non-marring trim tool. Note that this application requires load resistors to prevent hyperblink due to reduced electrical load and compatibility with PWM/CANBUS and BCM-controlled flasher systems.
