Description
Dual Camera Integration. The Second Camera Option for 4.20-Inch Factory Display allows drivers to add a supplementary rear-view camera that seamlessly toggles between the factory-installed backup camera and the universal camera when the vehicle is in reverse. This enhancement helps improve visibility of areas such as toolboxes, headache racks, or fifth wheel hitches, enhancing safety and convenience during trailer hookups or other rear operations.
Construction and Appearance. The system uses a durable high-grade Super CMOS sensor housed within a rugged enclosure built for harsh automotive environments. It delivers a clear image with night vision capability, supported by a universal mount designed for flexible placement behind the license plate or on other flat surfaces. The components are weather-resistant, certified with an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating.
Installation. Installation involves removing the factory radio to access the camera connector and plugging in the new harness. The included mounting options do not require drilling. Wiring connections include routing the camera cable into the cab and connecting to a reverse-activated 12V power source and ground, providing a straightforward upgrade for those experienced with vehicle electrical systems.
