Description
Easy Side Access to Your Truck Bed. Trucks usually have built-in step indents in the bumper, but not everyone finds these easy to use. If you’re one among these folks, then the Bestop TrekStep Side Step - Side Mount is the perfect product for you. Simply install this onto the driver or passenger side of your truck bed for a stable platform to stand on and reach into the bed of your GMC Sierra.
Hands-Free Operation. There’s no need to crouch or bend down to deploy or retract this side step. Just push it with your foot and you are good to go. In addition, the whole step folds neatly beneath the side panel for a clean look and extra clearance. The total downward extension of the step plate is 8 inches, so you can conveniently reach the truck bed even with a high suspension lift.
High-Quality Aluminum Construction. To safely support up to 300 pounds of weight, Bestop engineered the entire assembly of this side step from heavy-duty aluminum. The linkage arms and mounting brackets are made out of die-cast aluminum and the non-skid step plate is made out of extruded aluminum. To enhance its durability, the entire set-up is coated with an anti-corrosion powder coat that can withstand the harshest conditions. This flat black color of the powder coating also integrates seamlessly with the aesthetic of your truck.
Straightforward Installation. This side-mounted side step is very easy to install onto either the passenger or driver side of your truck bed. Just use the enclosed mounting hardware and basic hand tools to bolt it on. You can complete installation in approximately 15 minutes.
