      Description

      Enhanced Traction Control. The BDS Traction Bar Kit is designed to improve rear axle traction and minimize axle wrap on Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra 1500, and K1500 trucks built between 1988 and 2018. By providing superior control of the rear axle during acceleration, it helps maintain vehicle stability and performance, especially under demanding conditions.

      Construction and Appearance. This kit features rugged 1.25-inch outside diameter steel tubing with a 1/8-inch wall thickness, delivering excellent strength and durability. The bars include durometer-specific polyurethane bushings at each end to provide precise axle control while reducing noise and vibration. Application-specific mounting brackets are crafted from 3/16-inch steel plate, ensuring a secure and tailored fit.

      Installation. Installation is moderately involved with an estimated time of 3-4 hours. The process requires drill-and-bolt mounting, demanding some mechanical skill and appropriate tools to ensure proper fitment and function.

      Application. This traction bar kit fits 1988 to 2018 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra 1500, and K1500 models equipped with 4WD. It is important to note that it will not fit regular cab short box models within this range.
