Description

The BD Power Stage 2 Build-It Transmission Kit; $700 Core Charge Included combines essential parts required to rebuild and upgrade the 68RFE transmission for Dodge/RAM 6.7L Cummins vehicles. It is designed to enhance transmission durability and performance by improving internal line pressure, increasing clutch capacity, and enhancing reliability for both street and towing applications. This kit enables experienced builders to complete a professional-quality transmission rebuild that is tailored to their specific power requirements.
Construction and Appearance. The kit includes custom bonded gaskets, heavy-duty accumulator plates, and BD durable QT100 pressure plates made from high-quality materials to improve strength and minimize clutch drum distortion. The torque converter features a billet forged front cover with thicker walls and stronger mounting pads, while furnace-brazed turbine fins improve fluid coupling efficiency. Components display a durable, precision-machined finish, ensuring long-lasting and dependable performance.
Installation. Designed for experienced builders, installation involves full transmission disassembly and reassembly. No drilling or special fabrication is required, but familiarity with transmission internals and procedures is recommended to ensure proper installation and optimal functionality.
Warranty. The kit carries a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on build-it kit components, while the torque converter has a 36-month or 150,000-mile warranty covering parts and 12 months or 12,000 miles for labor, excluding race abuse.
Application. Specifically engineered for Dodge/RAM 6.7L Cummins trucks from 2007.5 to 2018, this kit is ideal for models that demand improved transmission durability and performance under increased horsepower and towing stress.
