Description
Advanced Exhaust Retarder. The BD Power Exhaust Brake with Air/Turbo Mount improves vehicle control and reduces brake wear by providing up to 150 retarding horsepower across the engine’s RPM range. It activates via connection to the factory ECM for automatic transmission lock and cold weather warm-up, making it ideal for demanding driving conditions such as mountainous or hilly terrain.
Durability And Materials. Made from rugged cast-iron housings, this exhaust brake features exclusive alumibronze bushings, piston ring-seals, and a stainless steel butterfly shaft designed to withstand the high temperatures and corrosive exhaust environment. Corrosion-resistant stainless steel mounting hardware ensures lasting performance and reliability.
Installation. Installation generally takes approximately 4 hours and requires moderate mechanical skill. The unit bolts directly to the factory turbo mount without the need for extensive drilling, preserving factory integrity while enhancing functionality.
Warranty. This product includes a 24-month or 24,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 12,000-mile labor warranty, providing assurance of build quality and durability.
Application. Specifically designed for 2006-2007 5.9L RAM 3500 models. It excludes trucks equipped with aftermarket turbos except for the 1045161 Killer B model.
