      Heavy Duty Transmission Package. The BD Power 68RFE Transmission and Converter Package with Proforce 3D Converter; $2800 Core Charge Included combines a fully upgraded 68RFE transmission and a high-performance torque converter to deliver superior reliability and power transfer for diesel trucks. Designed for both towing and street use, this package enhances transmission durability, increases clutch capacity, and improves shift quality under high horsepower and rapid throttle conditions.

      Construction and Appearance. The transmission features hard anodized valve bodies, new solenoid packs, a steel girdle, and custom bonded gasket separator plates to optimize pressure and reduce leaks. It includes durable QT100 pressure plates, a reinforced accumulator plate, and a deep sump oil pan for extra fluid capacity and cooling, all finished in a professional heavy-duty appearance. The torque converter incorporates a triple-disc design, stamp-forged one-piece cover to resist warpage, and precision-machined components with self-centering trapezoid teeth for enhanced durability and reduced wear.

      Installation. Installation requires approximately nine hours and involves a direct replacement of the stock transmission and torque converter. No additional drilling or modifications are typically necessary, though special tuning is required for 2019 and newer applications to increase line pressure.

      Warranty. This package includes a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 24,000-mile labor warranty, covering all components under normal use excluding race abuse.
