      Description

      Premium Transmission Upgrade. The BD Power 48RE Transmission with Filter Kit, Billet Input Shaft, and Tapshifter — $1800 Core Charge Included — is engineered to enhance drivetrain durability and control in demanding applications. It provides manual torque converter lock-up clutch control and full electronic gear selection with gear limiting, ensuring precise, reliable shifting and improved vehicle performance.

      Construction and Appearance. This transmission features a billet "Big" fine spline input shaft, billet band strut and lever, and replaces stock thrust bushings with roller Torrington bearings for increased longevity. It includes a rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan with heat-dissipating fins that add 2 quarts of extra oil capacity and a magnetic drain plug for simplified maintenance.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical experience and involves swapping sensors and flushing the cooler; drilling is not required, simplifying the process for experienced technicians.

      Warranty. Covered by a 36-month/150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty, provided the BD torque converter is installed at the time of transmission installation.

      Application. Fits 05-07 4WD 5.9L RAM 3500 without any exclusions or fitment restrictions.
