Description
High-Performance Transmission Upgrade. The BD Power 48RE Transmission with Filter Kit and Billet Input Shaft, including a $1800 core charge, is engineered to significantly enhance the durability and reliability of your drivetrain. This upgrade is perfect for increasing horsepower and torque handling, with improved lubrication, pressure control, and overall transmission strength for demanding driving conditions.
Construction and Features. Manufactured from heavy-duty materials, this transmission includes billet components such as the input shaft, band strut, and band lever for superior strength. It features upgraded governor components and a rigid aluminum transmission pan with heat-dissipating fins designed to reduce operating temperatures, while providing an additional 2 quarts of oil capacity.
Installation. Installation typically requires approximately 8 hours and involves a direct transmission swap without drilling. Use of a BD torque converter is required to maintain warranty coverage.
Warranty. The transmission carries a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty, along with 12 months or 24,000 miles labor coverage, excluding damage caused by racing or sled pulling.
Application. Designed specifically for the 03-04 4WD 5.9L RAM 3500 to ensure a proper fit and optimized performance.
