Description
Durable Performance Upgrade. The BD Power 48RE Transmission with Filter Kit, including an $1800 Core Charge, is engineered to significantly enhance drivetrain durability and performance in demanding conditions. This upgrade offers manual torque converter lock-up clutch control for better power and torque management compared to stock units and is designed to work seamlessly with the stock shifting mechanism with added gear limiting functionality.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. Each transmission features a heavy-duty aluminum pan with heat-dissipating fins, finished in a rigid, durable texture to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Stock thrust bushings have been replaced with roller Torrington bearings to improve longevity, while critical components such as the valvebody and governor pressure transducer have been upgraded for enhanced reliability. The kit also includes sealed plug-in wiring harnesses and a new model shift lever for easy installation without any wiring modifications.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. Installation typically requires approximately 8 hours and does not involve drilling or cutting wiring due to the sealed plug-in harness system. Each transmission is dyno-tested prior to shipment to ensure performance and reliability.
