The BD Power 48RE Transmission and Converter Package with Stage 4 Stock Shaft and ProForce Converter includes a $2500 core charge and provides an expertly matched and dyno-tested setup designed for enhanced durability and reliability. This package is ideal for heavy towing, street, and track use, offering increased line pressure, shock-absorbing torque converter technology, and upgraded internal components to handle elevated power and torque demands.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. The transmission incorporates upgraded valve bodies, governor solenoids, and pressure transducers with twice the burst pressure of stock components. It features a rigid aluminum heavy-duty pan with heat-dissipating fins and a magnetic drain plug to control temperature and maintain fluid cleanliness. The torque converter uses a stamp-forged one-piece cover that resists warpage and is supported by high-durability materials such as thrust bearings and a triple-disc design to enhance longevity and performance.
