Description
High-Performance Transmission Package. The BD Power Transmission & Converter Package is engineered for ultimate durability and performance in demanding towing and heavy-duty applications. It provides matched and dyno-tested components that enhance drivetrain reliability and shifting quality under high torque loads, suitable for both street and track use.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring a BD aluminum heavy-duty deep pan to increase oil capacity by six quarts, the transmission incorporates upgraded internals such as a reworked front pump, fully rollerized geartrain, and enhanced clutch packs with increased clutch counts for improved durability. The torque converter includes torque-multiplying cast aluminum stators and a stamp-forged steel front cover with furnace-brazed fins, promoting efficient operation, reduced heat, and improved fuel economy.
Installation. Installation of this package requires moderate mechanical experience and is estimated to take approximately seven hours. It is designed for direct fitment with no drilling required. For Excursion models, the use of the factory style transmission pan is necessary to avoid interference with the factory crossmember.
Warranty. This product comes with a 36-month/150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty, excluding coverage for race abuse.
Application. This package is specifically tailored to fit the 1999-2003 4WD 7.3L Powerstroke F-350 Super Duty vehicles, including Excursion models which require the factory style transmission pan due to deep pan clearance restrictions.
