Construction and Appearance. This intake system features an enclosed housing designed to shield intake air from hot engine bay temperatures, ensuring the engine inhales cooler air. The large high-flow filter inside is available in dry form, providing efficient filtration with extended service intervals. The robust construction accommodates engine movement and includes precision manufacturing for a perfect fit and durable finish.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically takes about one hour. It installs without drilling, uses original mounting points, and allows easy removal of the factory pressure sensor if present.
Application. This intake system is engineered for the 2009-2013 Chevy/GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L engine and electric fan configuration. It fits models equipped with a mechanical filter minder but is not compatible with 2500 or 3500 series diesel trucks.
