Description
Power-Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards provide automatically deployable and retractable steps to make entering and exiting vehicles safer and more convenient. Designed to extend when doors open and retract when closed, these steps enhance vehicle accessibility without compromising ground clearance.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE coating, these steps combine durability and a sleek, textured finish. The six-inch-wide textured surface ensures secure footing, while integrated low-profile LED lights improve visibility in dark conditions.
Installation. Installation is moderately difficult and professional installation is recommended, though experienced DIYers may undertake it. The product mounts to the rocker panel with no drilling required on most applications, and newer applications connect to the vehicle’s OBDII port via a plug-n-play module where applicable.
Warranty. The running boards come with a five-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Application. Specifically designed to fit the 2022 through 2026 Sierra 1500 models without exclusions or noted restrictions.
