Power-Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep XL - Black offers a convenient and stylish way to access lifted trucks with higher ground clearance. These automatic running boards deploy when the door opens and retract after a short delay, enhancing vehicle entry and exit while maintaining clean lines and ground clearance when not in use.
Construction and Appearance. Made from corrosion-resistant cast aluminum, these running boards are anodized and coated with a military-grade PTFE finish for durability and a sleek black textured surface. The 6-inch-wide, slip-resistant step surface features integrated LED lighting to improve safety during nighttime use.
Installation. Designed for a bolt-on installation using existing rocker panel holes without drilling. Each kit includes a vehicle-specific installation guide, mounting kit, and hardware to facilitate the process. Professional installation is recommended to ensure optimal fit and performance.
