Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this intake.

The filter is effectively incorporated in a cold air intake kit that utilizes advanced air ducting. That delivers better air flow and filtration.
