Description
High-Performance Design. A hood scoop goes a long way in transforming your Sierra 1500’s style and attitude, and the Air Design Satin Black Hood Scoop is no different. This hood scoop’s angular style will conform to your truck’s lines, giving you a fit that complements its muscular design. Moreover, this scoop comes in a unique 2-piece design that allows you to customize its looks.
Robust Build Quality. This hood scoop’s 2-piece configuration features a base and a top both of which are made from premium ABS plastic for superior durability and resistance to deterioration. This assembly is then crafted using an advanced machine-forming process and includes a stylish satin black finish that provides your truck with a stark style. More significantly the satin finish of one or both of the 2-piece assembly can easily be painted over to create a style that’s truly your own.
Simple Install Procedure. This hood scoop is designed to mount onto your hood using a combination of 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive and a special polyurethane adhesive. No cutting or drilling into your Sierra is needed. Before installation, it is advised that you first clean and wash the hood area before applying the included adhesive promoter to ensure total adhesion. Also, when mounting this assembly in cold weather, warm-up the mounting surface first, as the adhesive is most effective on warm surfaces. This can be accomplished using a heat gun, hairdryer, or by letting your engine run for a few minutes. Finally, when considering painting this component, do so before installation to maximize efficiency.
