This hood scoop features a 1-of-a-kind, 2-piece design consisting of a louvered top section and an angular base. When combined, this assembly provides a distinct performance-inspired style that’s sure to make your truck stand out no matter where you drive. More importantly, this 2-piece design allows you to really customize its looks.
Durable Build Quality. This hood scoop’s base unit and a top section are both manufactured from high-quality ABS plastic, making them extremely resistant to deterioration and cracking over time. Moreover, this scoop is made using an advanced machine-forming technique, resulting in an assembly that fits your hood like a glove. Likewise, this assembly comes in a satin black finish that looks great on its own but can be painted to color-match your truck. Best of all, its 2-piece construction gives you the option to color the base or the top separately for a unique style.
Convenient Install Procedure. This hood scoop installs onto your hood using a combination of 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive and specially formulated polyurethane adhesive. No modifications to your hood are necessary. Before installation, the mounting surface should be thoroughly clean, dried, and wiped down with a clean rag moistened alcohol or acetone for a tight bond. What’s more, the mounting surfaces should be warmed to about 60-degree Fahrenheit when installing during cold weather as the adhesive works best on warmer surfaces. This can be done with a heat gun, hairdryer, or by letting your engine run for a few minutes. Lastly, please paint this assembly before installation if you want to color match it to your truck as this makes the installation more efficient.
