Description
Tuned for Outstanding Engine Performance. The AFE Twisted Steel Long Tube Headers are designed to give your GMC Sierra an added kick. These headers feature 4-to-1 formed collectors to effectively decrease the turbulence while improving your exhaust velocity. These headers have optimized tube lengths that also produce the same exhaust flow advantages. When installed properly on your ride, these headers have the potential to add up to 21 horsepower and 26 lbs. x ft. torque gains to give you a monster performance that’s fit your adventurous lifestyle.
Includes Dual Catalytic Converters. The AFE Twisted Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers are supplied with 400 CPSI (cell per square inch) catalytic converters. These dual high-flow converters are attached to ensure an improved exhaust flow and deliver an overall boost in your engine’s performance.
Aggressive Design and Quality Construction. These Twisted Long Tube Headers are built from 1-5/8-inch thick, 16-gauge, mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel that promises to deliver unrestricted gas flow to your engine. MIG-welded during construction, these headers are built for strength and durability that will last for years of use. Even better, these twisted long tube headers are reinforced with one-piece flanges that are 3/8 in. thick to make for a 100% leak-free protection. And to top these off, the Y-pipes attached with these headers have a true 2-to-1 mitered merge collector that will effectively eliminate the restrictions on the exhaust gas flow.
Not CARB Approved. These headers are not CARB certified, and thus illegal for use in California. These headers are not to be installed on any vehicle listed under the California Department of Motor Vehicle. In addition, these headers are intended strictly for racing competition use only and in no circumstance should be used for street, highway, or non-racing off-road driving.
Application. AFE’s Twisted Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers with Y-Pipe will fit on all 4.8L and 5.3L GMC Sierra 1500 models released between 2009 and 2013.
