Justin: Hey, what's going on, guys? Justin with americantrucks.com here. And today we have the Weathertech TechLiner Tailgate Liner available for all 2019 and newer Rams at home. Now, you guys should be checking out the Weathertech option if you are looking for a super affordable bolt-on protection for the tailgate of that new Ram at home to keep things looking fresh and protected for many years to come.So the biggest feature pertaining to the TechLiner here is protection, right? This option from Weathertech exists solely to protect your tailgate on your newer Ram at home and that's pretty much it. Now, if I had to guess, most owners interested in this product probably missed out on some sort of factory bedliner, and didn't want to drop the 1,000-plus dollars or more to get the bed Line-X or something similar. Now, if that sounds like you watching at home, well, then you can grab this along with the corresponding bed mat also from Weathertech, and still be coming in at south of 300 bucks, a far cry from those other spray-in options. Now, will this offer the same amount of protection as a drop-in or spray-in liner? Probably not, but it will certainly be much better than having nothing at all.Now moving into construction, and this is one area where Weathertech really does shine, whether we're talking FloorLiners, bedliners, or in this case tailgate liners. Now, that's because Weathertech laser measures their surfaces first before producing their proprietary thermoplastic mats right here in the USA. Now, because they are laser measured, basically the fit and finish is going to be completely on point, and best of all, it is backed by a limited lifetime warranty in case you run into any issues. Now as far as your price is concerned, guys, we're going to be looking between like 70 to 90 bucks here for the actual tailgate portion from Weathertech, certainly on par with other similar options in the category. And again, if you're looking to pair this up with a corresponding bed mat, you're just in for a couple hundred bucks. And again, that is a lot more affordable than going with a full-on drop-in liner or going with those more expensive spray-in options. But quickly shifting gears and getting into our install, and again, this is going to be very straightforward, guys. In fact, it bolts into place using some existing screws in your factory tailgate. Weathertech does kick in some washers to be used in conjunction with the liner itself. Now, because this is a pretty simple job, site's just going to stick with a soft one-out-of-three wrench on the difficulty meter. Call this one about 15 minutes to complete from start to finish. And that's pretty much it. But now to give you a better idea of how things will go down on your truck at home, here is an American Truck's customer to walk you through it.Male: First thing you're going to want to do when you get this thing home is unbox it and lay it out in a nice sunny area somewhere so that it will lay flat. Second thing you're going to want to do is go ahead and wash your tailgate with soapy water, which I've already done and let dry. Next thing you're going to want to do, let's take your stripping here. Go ahead and get that lined up. Take one of your included adhesive wipes, clean the area. Just a few seconds to dry there. All right, you're going to need to peel the piece of backing off of here. [inaudible 00:03:55] It's a little bit sticky. All right, next thing you're going to want to do, take your included T30 Torx bit, go ahead and remove top four screws, and the middle two. Total is six. Go ahead and set those aside. [inaudible 00:04:48] Bring it in here to make sure it's situated, lined up the way you want. All right, once you've got it lined up the way you want, you're going to need to take one of these alcohol wipes. Go ahead and pull back half of this thing. Go ahead and clean areas thoroughly where your double-sided tape is going to be sticking. Go ahead and peel that double-sided tape back, and carefully move this back down. Make sure it's still lined up. Go ahead and stick that adhesive. All right, go ahead and get you another wipe. Roll this back. Identify where your tape's going to be sticking. Clean the area thoroughly. Go ahead and start working it into your channel. Make sure you take one of the bolts here, and work it down the edge, and get that thing started in there [inaudible 00:06:53]. Once you've got that working in the channel, you're going to need to go ahead and take your six bolts that you took out, you take your six plastic washers [inaudible 00:07:12] In here they all moving on the bolts, make sure this extended portion is facing down. [inaudible 00:07:42] Go ahead and tighten these up. Do not over-tighten them. Just snug them. All right. There we have it, the installed product.Justin: So wrapping this one up, guys, if you are looking to add some pretty easy-to-install protection for the tailgate of that new Ram at home, be sure to check out the TechLiner from Weathertech right here at americantrucks.com.
