1- Grommet
1- 24” Breather Hose

1- 3.5” Velocity Stack Adapter
2- Hole Plugs
1- 3.5” – 3.25” Reducer sleeve

Step 1: Safety first! Before you begin the installation, make sure that the vehicle is in park (or neutral for a manual transmission) with the parking brake set. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and verify that all components that are listed are present. Note: This kit was designed and tested on a stock engine without any custom tuning done to the engine computer. Removing the battery cable may erase the programmed radio stations. The anti-theft code will need to be entered into some radios after the battery cable is connected. The anti-theft code can typically be found in the owner’s manual or at your local dealership.

Step 2: Disconnect the factory PCV breather hose from the engine.

Step 3: Unclip the four hold down clips on the air filter lid.

Step 4: Disconnect the IAT sensor if equipped.

Step 5: Loosen the two bolts on the plenum and remove the intake plenum, intake tube and air box assembly. Remove the stock air filter.

Step 6: Remove the o-ring surrounding the throttle body.

Step 7: Place the velocity stack adapter in the heat shield and install the supplied flex boot making sure the coupler is pushed completely against the heat shield. Once the adapter and coupler are tight against the heat shield, tighten the clamp. Make sure that the clamp for the intake tube is installed but left loose at this time. Install the air filter and dress the heat shield with rubber seal.

Step 8: Remove the IAT sensor from the stock plenum by gently twisting counterclockwise. Some 4.7L models do not have this sensor.

Step 9: Remove the o-ring from the sensor. On the 5.7L insert the supplied rubber grommet into the hole on the same side as the breather fitting on the intake tube. Install the supplied plug into the hole in the intake tube on the reverse side. On the 4.7L with an IAT, insert the supplied plug into the hole on the same side as the breather fitting on the intake tube. Install the supplied grommet into the hole in the intake tube on the reverse side. Install the sensor into the grommet, using care not to push the grommet into the tube. If your vehicle did not have an IAT sensor, install the supplied plugs into the holes on the intake tube.

Step 10: Install the 3.5” coupler (5.7L engine) on the throttle body. If you have a 4.7L engine, install the 3.25”- 3.5” reducing coupler then install the 3.5” coupler. Tighten the clamp on the throttle side and make sure the intake side clamp is installed but left loose.

Step 11: Install the heat shield making sure that the slots on the heat shield are inserted into the lower factory airbox tabs. With the heat shield located in the tabs, using the 4 factory clips from the air box, clip the heat shield into position.

Step 12: Install the Spectre Performance intake tube into the coupler on the heat shield and then into the throttle body coupler. Once in position fully tighten the clamps.

Step 13: On 5.7L engines, cut breather hose to 11”, install on the oil filler tube and fitting on the intake tube. On 4.7L engines, install the supplied breather hose on the T fitting and then install on the intake tube fitting.

Step 14: Connect the IAT sensor by pushing the connector on the sensor.

Step 15: Make sure that all clamps and hardware are fully tightened. Reconnect the battery cable and start the engine and let it warm up. Shut it off and inspect the installation once more for any loose clamps, wires, or hardware. Test drive & enjoy! Your installation is now complete. Periodically check all clamps and brackets.
