It is designed primarily for diesel trucks running high boost pressures to help ensure the turbo is performing optimally and to prevent engine damage caused by overboosting.

The gauge incorporates LED backlighting with seven selectable colors and a nighttime dimming mode that dims the needle and display by 30% to enhance visibility under varying light conditions.
