Heat Soak Protection. The Reflect-A-GOLD Heat Reflective Sheet, measuring 12 inches by 12 inches, is designed to reduce heat soak into sensitive areas such as air boxes, seats, firewalls, and intake components. It provides an effective solution to protect vehicle parts exposed to high temperatures, enhancing performance and durability. This sheet is especially valuable in automotive situations where proper heat management is essential.
Construction and Appearance. This heat shield features a metalized polyimide layer laminated to a lightweight glass fiber cloth, delivering both durability and excellent heat resistance. It includes a high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, protected by a release liner rated up to 325°F. The sheet is 0.0065 inches thick and has a metalized finish that offers a low-profile, functional design.
Installation. Installation is simple due to the pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, requiring no drilling or mechanical fasteners. It adheres securely without lifting off, even under extreme temperature changes.
