Description
Tailgate Letter Replacement. The Tailgate Letter Replacement Overlays for the Jeep Gladiator enhance and customize the vehicle’s appearance by replacing the factory tailgate lettering. This kit adds style and protection by covering and safeguarding the original emblem area. Installation requires removal of the existing tailgate emblem, providing the rear of the vehicle with a refreshed and distinctive look.
Construction and Appearance. These overlays feature a domed, raised 4mm design, except for real carbon fiber which is raw and raised 1mm. They are manufactured using a three-layer process: a superior UV doming resin top layer delivers a high-gloss, scratch-resistant, and durable finish; the middle layer consists of multiple substrate options including 100% real carbon fiber, chrome, camouflage, and factory color matches; and the back layer uses 3M automotive-grade adhesive to ensure a secure and lasting bond to the vehicle surface.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and user-friendly, utilizing the included jig to ensure correct alignment over the OEM emblem location. The process typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes, requiring only removal of the original letters and sufficient surface cleaning. No drilling or additional modifications are necessary.
