      Description

      Thermal Heat Barrier. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II, 42-Inch x 48-Inch Aluminum, provides an effective solution for protecting vehicle interiors and critical components from extreme heat sources. It is designed to reflect and insulate against heat intrusion in areas such as firewalls, transmission tunnels, and fuel cells, helping prevent heat damage and improving occupant comfort in high-temperature environments.

      Construction and Appearance. This product features an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8" composite glass-fiber core, offering both durability and enhanced heat reflection. It is available in versions with high-temperature resistant, strong pressure sensitive adhesive backing or non-adhesive backing, and presents a rigid, yet lightweight profile at just 3/16" thickness. The aluminum surface is dimpled for added rigidity and heat dispersion.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and can be performed without drilling. The shield can be easily shaped and trimmed to custom fit various locations under the vehicle. For optimal performance, the aluminum side must face the heat source.

      Application. Fits universal applications; some adaptation may be required to accommodate specific vehicle configurations. This shield should not be applied directly onto exhaust components due to adhesive limitations and material compatibility.
