The fine-threaded shank is paired with a zinc-plated hex nut and a helical lock washer, promoting secure mounting and long-lasting performance under demanding towing conditions.
Installation. Installation is straightforward when mounted on platforms that meet the thickness specification of at least 3/8 inch. The hole size must not exceed the threaded shank diameter by more than 1/16 inch. The fine threads allow smooth and secure tightening, with a torque specification of 160 ft-lbs to ensure a firm and safe hitch connection.
