Description
Increased Braking Performance for Increased Capabilities. Level-up the capabilities of your RAM 1500 with the PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow 6-Lug Front and Rear Brake Rotor and Pad Kit. This kit includes everything you need to provide your truck with the stopping power you need to take on tougher driving situations like hauling and towing. This extra stopping power also means you can now run larger wheel and tire combos without worrying about compromising braking performance.
Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Rotors. The brake rotors that come with this kit are manufactured from heavy-duty iron, offering maximum strength and durability. The rotors are then cast before getting precision-machined and balanced to eliminate vibrations. Lastly, the rotors are finished in a tough silver zinc finish, providing superior corrosion protection as well as great looks.
Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotor Style. Besides being perfectly balanced, these brake rotors also feature a cross-drilled and slotted rotor style. More to the point, the cross drillings feature a beveled design and work to cool down your brakes, helping prevent fade. Similarly, the rounded directional slots are designed to brush away moisture, gas, and debris, maintaining excellent contact between the pads and the rotors’ surface. These features combine to provide consistent braking performance no matter the road condition.
Specialized Z36 Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Brake Pads. The Z36 brake pads included in this kit utilizes a specialized ceramic-based friction compound that’s reinforced with carbon-fiber. This braking compound offers extreme resistance to heat, thus maintaining its bite even after several hours of use. Moreover, the pads are designed to work in tandem with the brake rotors to provide reliable performance even through rapid braking.
Reduced Dust and Noise. The brake pads are also formulated to release minimal dust so you don’t have to clean your wheels as often. What’s more, the pads also feature an OE-grade chamfered and slotted design as well as stainless steel shims. These factors work to reduce braking noise for a more comfortable ride.
Direct Install Procedure. This brake rotor and pad kit installs directly into your RAM’s factory counterparts’ locations without the need for modifications. Additionally, installation is completed using just standard hand tools, although you may need a bottle or 2 of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid, as well as high-temperature brake pad lubricant.
Complete Front and Rear Kit. This PowerStop rear brake rotor and pad kit comes with a pair of front and rear brake rotors as well as four pairs of carbon-fiber ceramic brake pads, one pair for each rotor. Also, this pad and rotor kit comes with all the hardware necessary as well as a packet of lubricant.
