Construction and Appearance. The shackle body and pin are crafted from durable carbon steel with a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance, while the receiver is forged from 6082 aluminum and anodized in a UV and weatherproof red finish. The unique two-finger spin pin lanyard is made with 7-strand stainless steel wire coated in black vinyl to prevent scratches and tangling. The receiver features a robust design with laser-etched logos and a large radius on connection points to protect recovery gear.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, as the shackle fits any bumper or hitch receiver with suitable mounting holes. Two hitch pin holes and an optional spacer enhance compatibility with a variety of 2-inch hitch packages and Class I/II hitch balls.
