Description

The Mishimoto Magnetic Oil Drain Plug; M18 x 1.5 captures and removes metal fragments circulating in engine oil, helping to prevent bearing damage and extend engine longevity. It replaces the stock drain plug to provide enhanced protection by seizing harmful metallic debris from the oil system during normal operation.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from billet 6061 aluminum, this oil drain plug features a deep black anodized finish and integrates a powerful neodymium magnet. The plug includes a Dowty oil seal for reliable leak resistance and a robust 24 mm hex head for secure installation and removal without thread damage.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling; the plug simply replaces the factory drain plug. The recommended torque is 15 lb-ft to ensure proper sealing without risk of thread stripping, making it an easy upgrade for most vehicle owners.
