This universal converter fits a wide variety of applications, assisting in preventing check engine lights caused by faulty or failing converters.
Construction and Appearance. Made from high-strength, corrosion-resistant 16 gauge 409 stainless steel, this catalytic converter features a clam-shell body with durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds and a stainless steel finish. The single laser fusion weld enhances leak prevention, and an integrated aluminized steel heat shield helps maintain thermal efficiency.
Installation. Installation requires welding due to the pipe connection design and absence of clamps, hangers, or included hardware. Professional installation is recommended because of the universal fit and welding requirements.
