This cold air intake combines a CAD air intake tube with a high-flow oiled air filter to ensure your engine receives maximum amounts of cold clean air. This translates to complete fuel combustion and palpable boosts in horsepower and torque.
ECU Re-Tuning Not Necessary. Re-tuning your truck’s ECU is not necessary for you to get benefits out of this cold air intake. That said, your truck will always benefit from having its ECU re-tuned in the future as a re-tune will open up this intake’s performance.
High Flow Oiled Air Filter. This cold air intake includes an oiled air filter that offers exceptional airflow while providing superior filtration efficiency. This is accomplished by an eight-layer cotton gauze filter media arranged in a pleated form to increase its surface area. This air filter is also easy to clean with an appropriate filter cleaning kit.
Rigid Build Quality. This cold air intake tube is molded to CAD-generated specifications from high-quality cross-linked polyethylene, offering superior durability and resistance to engine bay heat. Meanwhile, the included heat shield is precision-cut and formed from a rigid alloy sheet before getting powder coated in black for optimum corrosion protection. What’s more, this heat shield, when combined with the black intake tube, gives your engine bay a distinct high-performance style that’s sure to turn heads every time you pop the hood.
Efficient Install Procedure. This cold air intake utilizes your Sierra’s factory air system location as its mounting area. No additional drilling or other modifications to your engine bay is needed although you will need to assemble this kit before installation.
