Description
Performance Muffler. The Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Center/Offset Oval Muffler features a 3-inch inlet and 3-inch outlet that deliver an aggressive exhaust sound combined with improved exhaust scavenging to enhance engine performance. Designed for both street and strip applications, this muffler balances a louder exterior tone with reduced interior resonance, providing an engaging yet manageable driving experience.
Construction and Appearance. Made from durable 16 gauge aluminized steel, this muffler features fully MIG welded seams for maximum strength and long-lasting durability. It is finished with high-temperature paint to resist heat and corrosion. The oval chambered design incorporates Flowmaster’s Delta Flow technology to optimize exhaust flow.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with slip-fit inlet and outlet connections compatible with clamp-on or weld-on setups. Some adaptation may be necessary during installation, and new hangers are required as they are not included with the muffler.
Application. This muffler is designed to fit a wide range of vehicles including 4 and 6 cylinder engines, classic and late model muscle cars, street rods, street/strip applications, and trucks or SUVs. Its universal fitment allows flexibility, though some modification or adaptation may be needed for proper installation.
