Moreover, this muffler heat shield can also work as a dampener helping decrease interior noise.
Rugged Build Quality. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield is made from rugged high-grade aluminum for exceptional corrosion resistance. This muffler heat shield comes pre-formed for a professional look when installed on your muffler assembly. This muffler body heat shield works with 40 Series mufflers but may work with oval mufflers featuring a body thickness of 4 to 5 inches and dimensions of 10-inches wide x 13-inches long. Lastly, this heat shield is finished in a brushed natural color.
Convenient Install Procedure. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield comes with a pair of stainless steel muffler straps for convenient installation. Just lay the heat shield across the muffler body on the side that faces the floorboards and secure using the straps. This heat shield needs just standard hand tools and doesn’t need any modifications to either your vehicle or the muffler assembly.
