      Description

      Expert Dual-Layer Combination. The ONYX™ Starter Shield introduces a nifty dual-layer combination of technologically advanced textiles to ensure maximum thermal protection. The outer shield is formed by tight weaving a heat treated glass fiber with molten aluminum for added durability. On the inside, the shield is reinforced by a layer constructed from a specially treated and high-temperature resistant fabric composed of 89% silica.

      Best Heat Soak Protection. The ONYX™ series is suitable for wrapping engine starters that are prone to heat soak issues. This shield helps in preventing malfunction and can provide a reliable barrier against direct heat exposure of up to 1350°F.

      Installs Fast and Easy. Each starter shield is equipped with a hook-and-loop fastening system combined with a Velcro closure. This makes installation very simple because there’s no need to remove the starter.

      Adaptable Fit and Design. The starter shield is supplied in one standard size, 7”W x 24”L. One of the advantages of using this shield is that you can trim the length to fit other size requirements and use it to wrap master cylinders, fuel pumps, and other vehicle components.

      Limited Warranty Coverage. All products manufactured are made with rigorously tested and industry standard materials. To ensure customer satisfaction, this starter shield comes with a limited 30-day warranty.

      Application. This ONYX™ Series Starter Shield is compatible with 2002 to 2024 Dodge RAM 1500 models.
