Carli Backcountry 2.0 System
The Backcountry 2.0 system is designed for those seeking improved on-road and off-road ride quality while staying within a budget. This system is ideal for drivers who want the benefits of a leveling kit with added capability for dirt and gravel road use without sacrificing daily drivability.
With a 2.5" lift height, this system does not require front or rear geometry correction like Carli’s 3" systems. It maintains the usability and ride quality your truck was designed to deliver, while allowing more confidence and control off the highway.
Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0" diameter remote reservoir shocks, this system is tuned for all-around comfort across city driving, highway use, towing, hauling, and slow to mid-speed off-road conditions.
The Carli SPEC 2.0 shocks feature 6063 aluminum construction with an anodized body for corrosion resistance, a 5/8" hardened chrome-plated steel shaft, and full serviceability and rebuildability. They are equipped with one-piece bushings in 6061 billet rod ends and use premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, damping consistency, and performance across a wide range of temperatures.
Rear shocks are included and specifically tuned to pair with factory rear coil springs, maintaining load capacity while improving ride predictability and comfort. This system is an excellent choice for those who want improved ride quality and handling without increasing suspension travel or using larger shock bodies.
System Highlights:
Ride quality can be further improved with the addition of a Carli Torsion Sway Bar. For optimal performance, a 35" tire is recommended on a wheel no wider than 9" with 5.5"–6" backspacing. An 18" wheel is preferred to maximize sidewall compliance, and recommended tire pressures are 45 PSI front and 40 PSI rear when unloaded.
For trucks running larger-than-stock tires, the addition of a Carli Low-Mount Steering Stabilizer is recommended to maintain steering control and stability.
