Description
Rear Visibility Enhancement. The 3rd Brake Light Camera Kit for 4 to 8.40-Inch Display integrates a supplemental camera with your factory radio screen, providing an additional rear viewpoint from the top of the cab. This feature is especially beneficial for monitoring trailer connections or cargo bed contents without reliance on a spotter, improving safety and convenience when reversing.
Construction and Appearance. This kit incorporates a trim bezel designed to fit behind your factory 3rd brake light, with a premounted HD CMOS camera built for high resolution and night vision. The unit boasts a durable, weather-resistant IP67 rated housing, ensuring performance and longevity in demanding conditions.
Installation. Installation involves removing the factory 3rd brake light to replace it with the supplied trim bezel assembly, and connecting the camera harness to the factory camera connector using the included T-harness. No drilling is required, but access to the rear of the radio unit is necessary to complete wiring and connections.
Warranty. This product comes with a three-year warranty, ensuring quality and reliability over extended use.
Application. Designed specifically for 13-18 RAM 3500 models equipped with a factory backup camera displayed on the radio. Compatibility requires the factory third brake light to measure approximately 14 inches for proper fitment.
