Description

The B&M 1998-2006 B&M GM 4L60E Electric Shift Model Street/Strip Transmission For LS Engine is a ready-to-run automatic transmission designed to provide dependable and firm shifting for street and mild strip use. This transmission is ideal for those performing LS engine swaps or building LS-powered vehicles, ensuring smooth and reliable operation under moderate performance demands.
Construction and Appearance. Built with a durable cast aluminum case, this transmission features high-performance friction plates and a Beast Sunshell for enhanced strength. It includes a chrome standard depth transmission pan and houses rebuilt components such as the performance pump and solenoids, all complemented by a fresh wiring harness.
Installation. Installation is moderately straightforward, fitting specific GM LS-equipped 2WD applications without the need for drilling or modification. The transmission ships without a speedometer driven gear, which should be considered during installation.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 1999-2006 2WD Sierra 1500 trucks with LS engine setups, this transmission is compatible only with 2WD models and is not intended for use in vehicles with manual transmissions or 4WD drive trains.
