The BD Power Allison Transmission and Converter Package with Stage 5 Billet Input Shaft and Proforce 3D Converter, including a $2100 core charge, offers a matched transmission and torque converter set engineered for high performance and enhanced durability. It delivers increased clutch capacity, superior line pressure, and optimized torque conversion, making it ideal for towing, street, or track applications.

      Construction and Appearance. Featuring an aluminum HD deep transmission pan that increases oil capacity by 3.5 quarts, the transmission incorporates high-energy friction components and a billet input shaft to withstand rapid throttle changes and high horsepower. The triple-disc torque converter includes a stamp-forged one-piece cover, heavy-duty springs to absorb engagement shocks, and a self-centering trapezoid teeth design that reduces wear and chatter. Additional durability is achieved through increased steel mass for better heat dissipation, thrust bearings replacing plastic thrust washers, a riveted piston for improved alignment, cast stator design for maximum torque, furnace-brazed turbine fins for fluid coupling efficiency, and a new double cage stator sprag to reduce common stator failures and increase strength.

      Installation. Installation takes approximately 9 hours and fits directly, requiring no drilling or modification. This ensures straightforward replacement for the specified vehicle application.
