Description
Heavy Duty Transmission Package. The BD Power Towmaster Allison 1000 Transmission and Converter Package, including a $2100 core charge, is engineered to enhance drivetrain durability and reliability. This package combines a remanufactured transmission and torque converter that have been engineered and dyno tested together to deliver optimal performance under heavy loads, making it ideal for street, towing, or track use.
Construction and Appearance. The transmission features a BD Aluminum HD deep transmission pan that increases fluid capacity by 3.5 quarts, coupled with high energy friction materials, upgraded clutch packs, and revised oil circuits. The torque converter includes torque-multiplying cast aluminum stators, a stamp-forged steel front cover, furnace-brazed fins, and up to triple the amount of lock-up clutch material, contributing to improved efficiency and durability.
Installation. Installation typically requires approximately 9 hours and involves no drilling or modifications beyond standard procedures, making it accessible for professional technicians.
Warranty. This package comes with a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 24,000-mile labor warranty, excluding race abuse.
Application. This transmission and converter package fits 2001 to early 2004 4WD 6.6L Duramax Sierra 2500 HD models, ensuring perfect compatibility.
