Description
Enhanced Transmission Control. The BD Power 48RE Transmission Valve Body with a $300 core charge is engineered to optimize manual control and performance of the 48RE automatic transmission. It delivers improved shift quality and increased clutch capacity for better handling under demanding driving conditions, helping to extend transmission life.
Construction and Appearance. This valve body features a proprietary manual valve design with revised dimensions and larger oil ports. The critical surfaces are hand-lapped to prevent internal leakage, ensuring precise hydraulic control. It is finished with a clean, durable metal surface built for high-performance use.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and takes approximately four hours. No drilling or welding is needed, as this unit is a direct replacement for the factory valve body.
Warranty. This product is backed by a 12-month or 24,000-mile warranty covering parts and labor.
