This cold air intake is designed to outflow your factory air system by over 50% to deliver larger volumes of cold air to your engine. The result is more complete fuel combustion that leads to improvements to horsepower, torque, and throttle response. This is accomplished by a free-flowing air intake tube and dry air filter in a package that adds a distinct high performance style to your engine bay.
Re-Tuning of the ECU Not Required. The AFE Momentum HD series cold air intake does not require you to re-tune your ECU to reap its high-performance benefits. However, it is still a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future as a re-tune will maximize the performance capabilities of this cold air intake with your engine.
Easy Maintenance Pro DRY S Air Filter. This cold air intake features the Pro DRY S air filter which is an air filter that can provide up to 99.20% filtration without compromising airflow. This is achieved by a multiple layer synthetic media that’s also easy to clean. Cleaning this filter is just a matter of tapping, vacuuming, or hosing it down with clean water from the inside.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. The cold air intake utilizes heavy-duty cross-linked polyethylene in its construction to give you a lightweight air system that’s highly resistant to engine bay heat. Furthermore, the air intake tube is CAD and injection-molded to create a component that’s free from turbulence along its inner structure. Similarly, its filter housing is molded from polyethylene and features a clear sight window for efficient filter monitoring.
