Hey, guys. So, today, we are checking out these SEC10 Matte Black Hash Marks, fitting all '09 to '18 Dodge RAM 1500s. So, if you're looking for a very easy and affordable way to create a custom and sporty look on your truck, this option by SEC10 is going to be a great choice to take a look at. This kit is going to include two Vinyl Hash Marks per side, and I think it's going to give it a very sporty look and even match with the hash marks on the Dodge logo. Now, these are going to be durable as well, made of a high-quality vinyl. It's going to have a four-mil wrapping cast and PVC line material, making sure that it's going to hold up for a long period of time, eight years to be in fact. The clear coat on top is going to protect it from the elements while this is sitting on your truck. Not to mention this is going to have air release technology, making for a very easy install that's going to be wrinkle-free and that's going to promote adhesion for the vinyl itself. Now, like I said before, this is going to be pretty affordable at roughly $40, making it an affordable option for a more custom look, in my opinion. Now, there are other options for vinyl on the category page, however, they are going to be pretty similar to this. They may just differ in the coating as well as the color, but it's still going to be high-quality vinyl. Now, there are going to be other options for locations for vinyl on the category page as well that this would actually match very well with. Now, I personally think if you're looking for a very easy way to create a custom look, this high-quality vinyl is going to be a great choice to take a look into. So, install is going to be very simple at one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're going to need a couple of basic hand tools and you're going to get a squeegee in the box as well. So, speaking of that, let's jump into the install now. The tools that I used for my install were a heat gun, a squeegee, a straight edge, a towel, and a bottle of soapy water. So, the first step to this install is cleaning the area where we're going to put the vinyl. We want to make sure that the adhesion process is as best as possible. So, I just have a rag and some soapy water here and I'm just going to spray where we're going to put the vinyl. All right, it is clean. Our next step is to take our soapy water mixture and spray down the area where we're going to put the vinyl. This is going to help us position the vinyl where we want it. Next, we can pull back our transfer paper. And if you want to, you can hit the back of the vinyl with some soapy water as well. Then we can take the vinyl and put it down into place. Now, you can position this where or however you want. A lot of you guys will actually put it up onto the hood. You don't necessarily have to do that, but I do want to line it up with the fender line here, and we can trim it. What we can do now is take our provided squeegee and a towel, and we can start to squeegee the water and the soapy water mixture from underneath our vinyl so it will adhere to our truck. So, I'm just using a heat gun to speed up the process. This is going to take up some of that moisture that we've put down, so the vinyl will adhere. What I'm going to do now is trim this piece, cut it in half between the fender and the hood here, just using a straight edge. And then once that's cut, we'll be able to tuck this part in with our squeegee. So, once you get to this edge, what I would recommend doing is just using a heat gun and rolling the edges with the squeegee, kind of molding it over. It might be helpful to pop the hood a little bit just to make sure that it's adhering on the other side of the hood. So, as you can see, down at the bottom here, we have a little bit of overhang. I'm going to take my straight edge and just trim it. We will be able to roll it under, however, we don't want this much rolled under. And there may be a little air bubble here and there, but this does have air release technology and it will release that air once it does dry a little bit and adhere a little bit better to your paint. But once you have wrapped all your edges, all the air bubbles are out, then you're all set to go.So, once you've trimmed your edges and this side is looking good, you can repeat that process on the other side. That's going to wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe. And for more videos and products like this, always keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
