The BluePrint Engines Small Block Chevy 400 C.I. 500 HP Long Block Crate Engine is designed to deliver robust power and torque for demanding automotive applications. It combines forged internals and high-performance aluminum heads to provide reliability and efficiency in various builds. This engine is suitable for enthusiasts looking for a durable and powerful long block solution.

      Construction and Appearance. This engine features a high strength cast iron block manufactured and machined in the USA, paired with BluePrint's proprietary aluminum cylinder heads with a distinctive .500 raised port design compared to OEM. The rotating assembly includes a forged steel crankshaft, forged pistons, and 5.700" connecting rods, all internally and externally balanced for smooth operation. The overall finish offers a precision-built, engineered appearance highlighting performance components.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward requiring no major modifications as the block is drilled and tapped for clutch linkage and has a mechanical fuel pump provision. Minimal custom fitting is needed, making it viable for experienced DIYers or professional installers looking for a direct-fit upgrade.

      Warranty. This engine comes with a 30-month or 50,000-mile transferable warranty covering parts and labor, providing confidence in its build quality and durability.

      Application. Fits GM Small Block Compatible engine platforms. Not suitable for use with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems due to head port design modifications.
