Overall good. What I expected.
I hadn’t read great reviews about these because of installation issues and fitment issues. I just figured my mechanical abilities wouldn’t have as much trouble and I think I was right. Installation went as well as expected. I bought these because of the dreaded Hemi exhaust manifold bolts breaking. I figured headers might dissipate the heat a little better and the bolts may last longer. They fit the engine well. I cleaned up a few spots on the mating surface with a die grinder so it would fit perfectly. And it did. The bolts holding the exhaust flange were my only major issue. They were a shouldered bolt and the threads were only halfway up the bolt, so there was no way I ever could have tightened it properly. I used the factory bolts and some RTV manifold gasket on the flange. Been 6 months and no leaks. Sound is slightly lower tone. Performance can Barely be felt at high rpm. MPG is worse with MDS on and better with MDS off. Engine does feel like it runs a little smoother. Probably breathing better. Decent purchase overall.Helpful (0)

Took way longer to install than the estimate. Had to move the dipstick a little bit too. Happy with the looks but havent really noticed much difference with performance or sound. Would buy again if I had to.Helpful (1)

Not a bad purchase
The installation was far more difficult than I expected, the hardware was incorrect, and the gaskets were garbage. They did fit and look great. I haven’t noticed a change in sound or performance but it’s done and looks great.Helpful (3)

BBK 1-3/4 in. Tuned Length Shorty Headers
i am extremely satisfied with this product. i can feel and hear the increase in horse power. The only modification needed was the oil dip stick needed to be moved slightly over.. I suggest you have a professional install this product for a perfect installation.Helpful (3)

Will my truck pass smog with this headers?
These headers are not CARB certified.

It is not necessary to exhaust wrap these headers no.
Does it matter that my truck is 4wd?
No, this will fit both 4WD and RWD models.
Can these headers be used with every other part of the exhaust being stock?
Yes, this can retain the rest of the factory exhaust.
Are these headers less prone to warping as compared to a cast iron stock header?
The BBK 1-3/4 in. Tuned Length Shorty Headers use a 3/8" flange to help prevent warping. Additionally the tubular construction allows for better heat dissipation which will further help prevent warping.
The headers studs shouldn't break with this installed, no.
The BBK 1-3/4 in. Tuned Length Shorty Headers will need to be torqued to the factory specs.
