Description
Power-retractable running boards. The Amp Research PowerStep running boards provide convenient access by automatically deploying when the door opens and retracting after closing. This feature enhances both the style and functionality of trucks and SUVs, offering assistance for entering and exiting while preserving the vehicle's clean lines and ground clearance when not in use.
Construction and appearance. Constructed from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum, these running boards feature a military-grade black PTFE coating for durability and a textured, slip-resistant surface. The boards are 6 inches wide with a cab-length design, complemented by integrated low-profile LED courtesy lights for enhanced visibility and safety in low-light conditions.
Installation. Installation is moderately complex and recommended for professionals, although experienced DIYers may complete it with the provided vehicle-specific guide. Some newer models utilize a plug-and-play OBDII connection, and drilling is generally not required.
Warranty. This product is backed by a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship when installed as per instructions.
