If your Duramax equipped Sierra 3500 HD’s 445 horsepower rating doesn’t quite do it for you anymore, you need the AFE Momentum HD Cold Air Intake with Pro 10R Oiled Filter in Black. This system’s CAD air intake tube and the Pro 10R oiled air filter work together to outflow your factory air system by more than 50%. The result is increased cold air delivered to your engine for practical boosts in horsepower and torque.
No ECU Re-Tuning Needed. Your truck’s ECO does not need a re-tune to get the performance benefits of this AFE Momentum HD series cold air intake. That said, it is still a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future to optimize its performance with your engine.
High-Efficiency Pro 10R Air Filter. This cold air intake is equipped with the high-efficiency Pro 10R oiled air filter. This oiled air filter’s 10 layers of progressively finer cotton filter media deliver 99.59% filtration without seriously impeding airflow. Likewise, oiled design means longer intervals between re-oiling. And when it comes time for filter maintenance, all you need is an appropriate oiled filter recharging kit to get the job done.
Tenacious Build Quality. The cold air intake’s air intake tube and filter housing are manufactured from high-quality cross-linked polyethylene, making both especially tenacious and highly resistant to engine bay heat. The air intake tube in particular is computer designed and is made using an advanced injection molding technique to create a turbulence-free inner surface. The filter housing for its part comes with a clear sight window, enabling you to conveniently monitor the condition of the filter. Rounding out its construction is a black color profile that gives your engine bay a high-performance look.
Direct Install Procedure. The AFE Momentum HD series cold air intake is designed to install directly into your engine bay using the factory air system’s location. No extra drilling or other modifications to your truck are necessary. Also, standard hand tools are all you need to complete installation.
