The pressurized air used in 2014-2017 Silverado air ride suspension parts and kits has some big advantages to offer – it lessens the number of moving parts to wear out, adds thousands of pounds of carrying capacity (up to 5,000-6,000), and can be deflated when not in use. American Trucks carries the full kits needed to install this upgrade, which come with all parts, components, and instructions that assure a successful attachment. The compressed air in these suspension systems makes them supremely easy to adjust – you can vary the amount of lift they provide by changing the psi of the air inside them, and even deflate them completely when they’re not currently serving any function. There are control systems you can use to adjust the inflation of the springs, too – some of them affecting both springs at once, and others enabling giving a different pressure to each side for asymmetrical loads.
